none of us are saints obviously. I guess you just have to measure your morality by how selfless you've been relative to your circumstances, your upbringing and even your biology (because of things like psychopathy, conditions preventing you from helping, etc). nobody should expect some poor guy who can't feed himself to be giving away stuff willy nilly. that's not him being good that's just a dumb concept. if you're conscious of your morality often and you did the right thing whenever you realistically could do it then that's as close to a saint as you're ever going to be. but it's obviously going to be different for say JK Rowling than it is for some broke sudaca like me. I usually see myself as a massive piece of shit and it takes a certain kind of mood or moment to see myself in a better light.
