Its been long discussed that the WEF/Left choice of focusing on institutional power, to the point of sacrificing cultural power in exchange for more institutional power, is a foolish strategy. While they grab to police forces and hammers, the likes of Musk bring global uncensored dissident networks and usurp the next generation of artists.
That equation will play out fast, the real meatus is countries like China, who are behind a language and censorial barrier and people think they are immune to cultural counter-attacks for it, they think the likes of Joseph Tsai can just fund transgender propaganda in the west without contest.
In truth that "perceived immunity" has only made China's cultural power weak, their media is naive and only works on naive sheltered audiences, they are slowly losing mind space to Japan and Korea within their own youth and they act like its the opposite. And there is the known western-friendly Chinese speakers like Hong Kong, but none of this is what really interests me.
The element I find most interesting is the Tower of Babel event of AI driven bidirectional translation becoming genuinely great, and given those uncensorable networks, what influence will prevail on that interaction.
