I was thinking how to explain this text in a less cryptic way, this is what I can think of:

What this is about is how Nihilism (the faith crisis) manifests in women. More so than abortion as a subject, there is a better example of this behavior and its consequences, and how women are not actors devoid of agency in the state of the world but in fact protagonists of it.

It is in the practice of "positive parenting", the idea that if enough people raise children telling them the world is in "an ideal form", the old world will be forgotten and the world will be changed from night to day and redeemed. The consequences of this are what we live now.

Men reject reality and replace it with their own through science, women do it through their role of nurturing/reproduction.
