the way I see it the leftists that say he lived by the sword and died by the sword are right. It's just not the huge gotcha they make it out to be, and it's not even necessarily about the guns themselves, I like guns myself, it's the high school jock attitude, those typical red blooded american man takes in combination with the religious WASP bible thumping. I've always found those people annoying and (literally in this case) holier than thou. They act like they don't have any biases or blind spots of their own, they're too great for that, too woke. Take away the tough guy navy seal act and you basically get mormons (religious differences aside) which I don't know anything about but I find more agreeable on a surface/social level. He had his values and defended them and that went how it went for him, that's fine. Volunteering at a shelter like a leftist would've done is a lot safer than the stuff he did. I don't really think he was this pussy who would've changed his mind in an instant if he was threatened before being shot like all the redditors believe, that feels more like them projecting if anything.
