Schizopost number 2:
I realized something recently that makes explaining to people how to do Jungian self-initiation with ease, but also has some disturbing implications.

Pretty much nobody follows the advice of using active imagination/lucid dreaming to work on self-improvement and knowledge, its cringe, its autistic and seems like a waste of time and most people are just not 'creative' like that.
But the truth is that pretty much everyone is already a master of those techniques, but only when it comes masturbation/sex. In seeking orgasms, everyone is willing to imagine unique fantasy scenarios that they meticulously search for or imagine that trigger them the most effect, they ritualistically recreate past imprinted events that recreate arousing scenarios, they alter their state of mind to maximize pleasure. Its literally above and beyond what is asked to do active imagination for other purposes.

The darker realization is that somehow, our culture was engineered in such a way that we as adults only find acceptable and are highly incentivized and driven to advanced self-initiation, but only in the context of perversion of the self.

So here is a brief tip: Simply try to chase something else with the same effort you chase cooming, it can be chasing what makes you feel pain in order to face it and reduce that pain. What makes you doubt yourself. Or chase wholeness/peace with God.
