But more realistically, "CC BY-SA" means "feel free to share this and adapt it, even into commerical works", not "if you break the license I will sue you from beyond the grave". The default state, without any sort of notice, is "all rights reserved". This is just a simple way to explicitly waive a lot of restrictions.
