Are BDSM doms that have not yet actually committed rape the same thing as pedophiles that have not yet actually molested children? If the community looked down upon this kind of degeneracy in general it would probably prevent people from slipping down this slope, just like strong taboos against pedophilia and sexualized displays of children probably prevent child rapes.
