What makes you think world government or technological feudalist subjugation of the population is necessary? Who exactly are you people and who do you really work for? Most people are not going to give up what they own or give up on their loved ones for some control freak cult. If it takes nuclear world war so be it, but people like me will still never give in or surrender to this extremist ideology. In fact if all the major cities were nukes it would likely empower more free-minded productive people by collapsing the extremist ideological political influence over our societies. Note that most major cities are the uber hubs for the NWO "Great Reset" fanatics. Get rid of 'em and you get rid of their influence.
