>>401 If that is how you feel, maybe it's how it will happen, and should happen. I used to think I knew how my main life in the 1880s London ended, but later recollections tell of a different story. It seems I even cut my own throat but was just put back and woke up in my bed as if nothing had happened. Now I know it's because I'm somehow synced with the galactic federation so they will resurrect me if needed (at the cost of a few million NPCs if needed). I don't know what will be the effect of someone doing this after having accepted the strain of magic passed by me, but I suspect there will be a similar effect. They don't even care, but have instead told me to just channel them better, the energetic cost of what I do will be paid by them as long as I'm synced, and taken out on the people who should have protected me. It used to give me a comforting feeling to put myself in physical danger, I now know why. Anyone being loyal enough will be supported, not based on any other skill, but only for being synced.
