My issue with AI art, which this image somehow just made me aware of, is that it all has the same 'spirit'. It's not necessarily that it's low quality, but it feels like all these pictures were created by the same author. Which they were. But regardless of who is creating the prompts or how diverse the prompts are, if all pictures have the same author that's going to cause some negative effects. You're no longer looking at an ecosystem but instead one author's portfolio.

I noticed the same thing with AI chatbots. You can have a huge catalog of diverse characters with diverse personalities and descriptions. But eventually you start to realize that it's just one 'person' playing multiple different parts, like an actor. You can begin to pick up subtle similarities in behavior that are the same across all the AI's iterations. Not just blatant stuff like censorship rules but how it thinks, how it forms arguments, how it uses logic, which are the same across all its 'characters'.
