My problem with Western TG is that most artists go too far when it comes to transformations. Often transforming clothing as well as body and often changing personalities to fit the new feminine look.

The strongest point Japanese TG have is that they usually have the characters minds deal with their new bodies. And there are a lot of variance of characters and how they react to the situations.

While in Western stuff... They just get everything for free. Clothes? BAM magic. Don't know how to act female? BAM magic. There's just a lack of sexual tension.
