Originally I skipped breakfast, this was two years ago. 16-8 intermittent fasting. Atkins, got me used to ketosis, OMAD was hard but I wouldn't do anything else ever again. I do not do OMAD every day though, for very hard labor days I don't and I always eat 500cal before a workout regardless of the time of day, and I probably wouldn't workout after a 1000+ cal meal anymore because it actually makes working out harder for me, I feel sluggish probably due to increased serotonin etc. I don't workout during a fast, my performance suffers and so then why am I working out at all if I'm like a slug at the gym? It's meant to have a fast, intense spike in activity to gain muscle, I need it to be intense to get gains, that's a fact.

Notes:
I will be doing this ADOMAD more often.

I mentioned previously, that I don't drink much on OMAD and that included ADOMAD. Why? This is because when you use up stored fat, water is released. If you're storing fat (eating carbs), you need more water. So not getting thirsty, not needing more fluids is natural as long as you're not in a hot environment or sweating obviously.

Are carbs bad? I was a big advocate of Atkins when I was on Atkins/carno, and I felt great on this and I think this is because it tricks the body into ketosis when not eating too much protein this increases mTOR and decreases insulin and supposedly this is the combo you need to trigger autophagy. I now believe autophagy is one of the keys to 'feeling great'.

So I looked it up, modern Atkins allows up to 80g of carbs a day, that's not really Atkins if you read the original book from the 70's that's not what Atkins said. This is a modern adaptation to push "Atkins friendly" ultra-processed goyslop.

Remember anyone pushing organ meat is trying to sell you lowest quality meat, "trimmings of cuts (- McDonalds)" like fast food restaurants tout as "healthy".
