The Tragedy is a great work. Mandatory reading in high-school, or at least was in my time. My literature teacher wrote his PhD about it too.
As for the animated movie, I'm not sure if I've seen it, I think I should had. The director has a very unique way of doing thins, pretty cool, also suggest Son of the White Mare from him - which is a Hungarian folk tale originally.
