I know that it comes with gloves, and they might even claim to be "cut proof", but if you genuinely value your fingers and hands, don't wear them.
Around power cutting tools and machines, the most you should ever wear is nitrile gloves in the event you're working with materials that might react with your skin.
Wearing thick gloves is you asking to lose body parts.
If you need to hold the piece still to cut it, then you need a WORK HOLDING DEVICE like a vice, or similar, don't think that holding it with your hands is why you need gloves.
