I don't know why some women have that insatiable desire for attention, whether its trauma or mental health issues or a part of female nature.
I think what they lack is called

They're just receptacles for stimuli from others.

Sadly part of depression is taking critique personal, and as proof that you are hopeless and useless and should self-destruct, rather than seeing critique as the first step to self-improvement
