I watched The Living Daylights (1987)
Timothy Dalton's first film in the role. I thought he did well. Added some youth and earnestness, refreshing after the increasingly elderly and silly end of the Roger Moore era.
It wasn't a great film, but it ended well with the Afghanistan part. Bond released Osama Bin Laden from prison.
