buffed some shoes (a cap-toe derby), selected a shirt (french cuffed), tie, and suspenders, got out a suit to air (charcoal), selected a pair of cufflinks (mont blanc), found my collar stays, set my diary to this week and wrote tomorrow's appointment in it (first use of the diary)
