I read Echopraxia by Peter Watts.
It is the sequel to Blindsight which I read a little while ago.
It was complex and demanding hard sci-fi. Plot confusing at times.
A bit grim and bleak. The author doesn't believe humans have free will.
Book has vampires in it but they are scientific type of vampires not fantasy ones. Quite scary.
