I put it in bridge mode and disabled the pppoe connection, then I set my router to DHCP and put the range as something I made up. When I rebooted everything in sequence its all stable. I get the right looking numbers on ipconfig and all my home network things come up as normal. Gonna redo the cabling and make a little shelf for the new modem then call it quits. Wrote down what I did for next time. That always helps. Wew.
