We have all kinds of wood here, but lumber they only make from pine now. I had the luck to purchase some oaken boards well over 15 years ago, directly from a sawmill. But that place is gone.
Yeah, the trend to use boards make out of woodchips and sawdust, mdf, osb whatever is very prominent for decades now. Furniture is only that. Bought a bedframe what was full pine. Turned out was glued together from pieces.
