I do poo bags when I am in the field and away from a toilet. They are more like a kit that includes gloves, paper, butchers paper, plasitc and two bags. They still smell even through all that and you cant yeet them in the rubbish fast enough.
They free you from modern inconveniences tho. Some places you cant dig a cathole, not if you are there for weeks on end and the place sees no rain for months. I usually pee bottle in those situations too. Piss really stinks if you are pissing five meters away from your bed all the time.
