At the Battle of Bumdaneetsi in 1867 the British ran out of cannon balls and were forced to fire the regimental cat at the Wearsyagoona tribesmen who were attacking them.
This won them the battle but they were all court martialed and executed afterwards for being bad sorts by Field Marshall Alastair Possum.
