Not really crude, file names aren't cosmetic in widows. It's common in development to give all assets standard file prefixes to assist file management programs like Explorer.
Then when you ship it, convert all the file names to binary for optimization in whatever engine you're running. Fucking Jason and his file naming conventions, if there's a collision it will be my foot and his ass
