Inverter setup: 2x 2,500 watt inverters and 2x 1,000 watt inverters in the underground bunker. Have several 12V solar trickle chargers for the 12V batteries (not shown in the photo) and one regular 12V trickle charger that can use the power grid on a normal basis to charge the six 12V batteries (seen on top of the inverter rack). This helps run my two deep freezers, a refrigerator plus several LED lights, a laptop and a couple smaller appliances off-grid when need be. When off-grid I simply use the solar trickle chargers to re-power the 12V batteries outside. It's not exactly "old-school" since many preppers have similar set-ups, but it is low tech none-the-less.
