At some point I plan to build my own casket and use some nice dark walnut varnish on the lumber to make it look vintage yet clean and shiny. It would probably cost me around $1,500 when it is all finished instead of me or my family having to dish out $5,000 on a cheap casket. My family does not like me talking about it though, it would take some time to get them to come to terms regarding emotions vs common sense practicality.
