Good thing I was too poor as a kid because Warhammer would do me in. I've had a bookstore near my school which sold miniatures per a single figurine. The rich fags bought them and I was super envious.
Right now I am only into the lore of 40k, got some monopose figurines but I am NOT investing in paints and gear.
