It's strange because I've also heard about this online, but I've never been able to replicate it IRL. For me especially power above threshold is easiest with really high seated cadence – 105-110. In longer sweetspot/threshold efforts lower cadence out of saddle efforts at around 80rpm are fine every 5-10min so that the muscles get a bit of a break. But any higher power and the standing efforts get problematic, I just burn out from doing them and it's hard to get back into the seated rhythm.
