Wait so you can't get into smallest gear? It's pretty easy problem to solve, if you can push (with your hand) the derailleur into those spot then it means your cables are fucked and you really need to change them ASAP or you're going to do 4h single speed.
If you can't push to the lowest then it's the adjustment screw
