They pulled the wire out probably a bit early but I also went to work with it immediately. I was 17 back then, it was football and basketball after school and then booze on the weekend.
No effects, my right shoulder (the broken collarbone one) was a bit lower but I have worked a bit on posture and there is almost no imbalance now.
