Well, both sucks.
I had a pal who's favourite saying was: "do as the little monkey, don't let go a branch until you get hold on the next one". It is a dishonest solution for me, but some might find it wise. The problem is in your case (but maybe not your problem but her in the end) that if you frankly say it won't work out, she will think there really was a whore no matter what you say. Or even if she doesn't think it was (she can't prove or disprove) she will hold it against you. But if you let her doing this she will think it is working and will continue.
Ehh, I should stop try giving advices beside: do everything as honest and straight as it is possible.
