The site had a stronger sense of purpose, it still had soyduels and if you said something stupid/cringy/underaged you'd get soyquoted. There wasn't an admin culture besides respecting Kolyma so you don't get banned and occasionally posting on the Jarty to complain when Kuz does something shitty. I remember checking kuz's telegram everyday and having a love/hate relationship with him. We thought he would buy 4chan and then we could get our revenge. The 'jaks were more basic, there were no slopjaks yet. Cobson was the enemy of Feraljak and people were terrified of discord groups like the QAfe who loved BBC cobson edits. There were much fewer namefags but the ones that did exist were much more famous, established, and "classic" than modern sharty's innumerable snca literalwhos. People still mocked soyboys and the song I associate with the kuz era is Weird Science by Oingo Boingo.
