What I posted is a distribution, Plat 2 obviously can't be in the top 13% of ranks if Diamond and Ascendant account for 15% of the playerbase (Diamond and Ascendant are higher ranks than Plat)

And whilst the article itself was publish in January, if you look at the data, it has been updated for December 2024.
