The original fork works almost outside the box, I think you might need to do a few things there with docker or install a few dependencies but it's generally just almost works outside the box experience. You just gotta pick the v6 branch.
The only real difference between shami and meowmin is the tikwm/tiktok links shown next to toks, which is nice but not 100% required I think and probably pretty easy to add.

Megutv is a shami feature, attach file (from id) sadly requires additional setup, which might be not as easy.
I think the version I compiled even had #steal enabled.
TL;DR I'm sure I can walk someone through the original fork installation, maybe not painlessly but it won't be hard.
