To the exact point that you make in the post: there's a lot of filtering options on steam for reviews, use them my pal.
To the general point of enshittification of the interwebz: I agree and sadly there's not much we can do about it. I just think it'll lead to people just straight up ignoring pretty much any information except for literal IRL friend recommendations and the like. I already started slowly filtering out info through the lens of "it sounds like AI has written this".
