I have literally played league for 5 years before switching to dota. I guess the meta can be completely different now but back then supports were relegated to being glorified wards at best in comparison to dota.
Even back then when all people that played dota were shitters and nobody knew how to play supports were doing so much more there just because of the amount of possible plays.
