I am basically not allowed to do anything except for watching cctv and doing my job duties but it uhhhh depends. I highly doubt they're rewatching all the footage of ours and I doubt anyone would notice if I was doing something else (inconspicuous (so no, no pulling out a literal book)) during half of my shift.
Also that sitting is not actually sitting around doing nothing, I would say at least another 2-3 hours was just handling various documents and/or visitors.
It is definitely more demanding that what you probably think though (that I am actually doing shitall for the rest of the time like in some movie where a guy is security detail for an abandoned pizzeria)
