other than the fact there's a faction called Boni, Imperator: Rome is kind of mid. Had a big civil war, switched over to a dictatorship style of government and did all of this within 50 years, before Rome had even conquered the rest of the italian penisula, elections would happen and it wouldn't matter, didnt really feel like all the systems involving characters mattered, you could just ignore them all.
