went and visited the fox cadaver in the forest
it has begun to decompose and is currently the premium feast for a approximately a few thousand maggots and flies.
it had a nasty smell when I approached it but once I breached past what I can only describe as a force-field of bad smell, it wasn't all too bad to endure. I could imagine surviving a job at a morgue, though that isn't to say that I would enjoy office hours.
