If it's the same study I've skimmed it basically says that if you're doing a mental exercise (writing a 500 word essay for Wednesday in that case) using AI will not teach you anything (duh), nor will you remember what you wrote (since you didn't write it, duh).
It doesn't matter anyway since everybody that's over the hump knows this and the people that would rather cheat will cheat anyway.
But it isn't making them more retarded, well it probably is but that's not what that particular study said. It might be making people retarded by that sycophant mental spiral inducing bullshit, but that's a different effect.
