I dunno if you were looking but it basically looks like this for me:
Sometimes you guys paste in something (kinda hard golf, wordle, whatever)
You start typing, then the message gets removed letter by letter (from the end), basically it's like instead of adding a letter in the code they made a mistake and the line responsible for it is instead removing the last letter (by whatever means I can only guess)
You can see it if for example you grab a bunch of text to quote it (because it also basically pastes it into the reply box) and then it gets removed as you type in the keys. You can also see it when someone just replies but only briefly because the >>postnumber is getting consumed that way too.
