This is literally what they want to do, which is not even a ban, more like an inconvenience for Apple users.
Also it doesn't matter who is the president since I'm pretty sure Trump supports the ban, it's all about TikToks resistance to fracturing the app (which they actually already do with the Chinese version but they wouldn't want you to know about it :)
