I think if he tried for a cartoony crayon style like how the Celestia looks it could've have worked out. Though your probably right in this being from a lack of skill. the aura though just seems of a higher quality then it should be for that picture.

Me too. I love Dolores Umbridge for that very reason. There is more substance to those things the a lot of the forceful non sequiturs that are often beaten to death n the mainstream (Dee's Nuts, Corn corn corn bla bla you get the picture). Though admittedly those can get the same treatment if they do get noticed enough.
