>yet indulgences were something that would hurt her image and is in the "prison" of princesshood.
and that was the plot device for the story, how to introduce the inner conflict. That and writing it while I was tired after having a lab session on Friday afternoon in September.

>This was spurred by some of her lines of missing lava and heat and whatnot. Though it depends if you intended heat to be part of her nature or just a system of corruption.
a little bit of both honestly, because both things remind her of her past (in the comics, Legends of Magic has a page in which the pony of shadows explains that both alicorns were powerful tools of destruction) and the element of Daybreaker: fire. Those were subtle descriptions that I wrote ambiguously just to put it clear for the viewer. Either way, they lead to the character that I wanted to introduce without using fake-deep backstories nor awkward transitions in personality.

>Doesn't clash yet one would think such would be a system of an overdesigned OC.
it´s still hard to believe that both have been designed by Hasbro/DHX for the cards and the show. In 2011, one would have implied that this would be the perfect OC to have wet dreams for a little girls show around that time.

>just looking at her fanart gives a more manipulative, more cunning vibe than Daybreaker.
it feels like that. In fact, i thought about posting this picture as well >>2813. The big anime eyes and smile coming from Daybreaker makes you think that we have the playful version of the two. So yeah, it almost looks like Nightmare Star would act pretty coldly and would have applied an evil plan like Cozy Glow in the show.

Daybreaker at least, wants a bit of time for having a laugh for her own pleasure, messing up a bit and keep a smug face when she is in front her enemy. The non canon character however would hardly laugh and if she did, it would mean a sign of victory for her and a message of doom for the heroes.
