Well, I think the /they/ come in different levels - those whose names we know and those we don't, different roles, different levels of power. Is it conceivable that Rothschilds/Windsors (for example) would really put the IdiotSquad out front? I am doubtful (but what do I know?) since they could be controllable to some extent, they are idiots and lack self-control or any strategic/tactical thinking.

I think all these corrupt fuckers are sociopaths and because of that operate differently than normal people - the blackmail via sex/drugs must be necessary to keep them in line. There is no love lost between them and while they work together when interests converge, they will plot each others' downfall when those diverge. So in a sense they are all in it for themselves, will manipulate and exploit (even murder) if they see the benefit to themselves. No honor among thieves.
