Because, if that was the case, and some were publicly backing the new 'it boy' (they did, remember?) how could POTUS publicly speak against that? Like they sort of forced him to be silent on it b/c for him to publicly condemn it would show the loss of control? See what I'm saying? I'm really stymied on this one.
