Have lurked at Voat since the /r/ga shutdown, never really posted much (maybe 2-3 posts) Absolutely agreed it's threads get buried too fast & lousy for deeper digs. That's a big reason I don't post there...too much distraction and not enough focus on things that should be looked into, research. It's too reddit-like, but I must say, I liked /r/greatawakening and the one before that on reddit (the name escapes me right now, it's late & I'm tired) moreso than I like the current state of QRV. I feel like QRV began with good intentions, but has declined rapidly more and more with time
