Uncle Bob Martin @unclebobmartin - I believe that the Ayatollah gave orders down to the lowest level operatives that amounted to his version of the doomsday device. That if he were killed, then missiles should be sprayed hither and yon to all their neighbors. Why? Because, he thought the ensuing destruction and chaos would cause the Gulf States, and Europe, and the democrats in America, to back down and demand de-escalation and negotiation. He thought his benighted regime would survive because of the cowardice of his neighbors, enemies, and the United States of America.
And the democrats echoed exactly what the old despot expected. They bleated and moaned about how we were being dragged into a regional war that could escalate. That it was illegal and immoral and that children were dying and... You know the song.
What actually happened? The Gulf States have joined the fight against Iran. They have jets in the air and are allowing Americans to use their airspace and landing strips. Even some of the cowards in Europe have backed down off their high horses and are -- tepidly -- supporting the operation.
And now all the democrats have left to motivate their agreement with the -- happily deceased -- "supreme leader" is their hatred for Donald Trump. A hatred that is so intense that, in the midst of the threat of sleeper cell terrorist attacks here in the homeland, they keep the department of homeland security defunded.
