Valid idea, but his whole shop is going to smell like diesel... maybe forever now.
I heard of a guy unsticking an engine by filling one of the cylinders through the spark plug hole with acetylene from a cutting torch and then lighting it. Probably wouldn't have worked on this one, but it would be content.
