Even though I was diagnosed as a child, I never had any problems up until my mid to late twenties in terms of allergies. So it's similar like you describe for me too. If you have the same allergies as me, there are definitely things you can do about it. There are some breathing techniques that can open up your nose, you can wash your bedsheets more often at high temps, so that the dust mites get killed off, you can try to keep your room cool if possible, I tried nasal stripes to open the nose (this did not do a whole lot for me), and so on. There are definitely things you can do to noticably improve it
