One branch says that due to some incident (it meantions dead people, but not necessarily has to get to that point, it might be enough to be disruptive enough, perhaps resulting deaths indirectly) they'll treat it as WMD and regulate like nukes.
Now, ofc hacks happened previously. So at the moment we should go that far just the thought is interesting.
Also all these hacks is part of the hype around "AI". They spent enormous money on it and all these happenings are advertisement for it.
